Wow: Because of sexism scandal

After the developers at Blizzard as a result of the sexism scandal already removed references on affected team members from their games , it is now in World of Warcraft the achievements to the collar. Several successes whose labels can apply as inappropriate will now receive new names in the English language version.

None Bros and thick eggs anymore

The changes concrete concern the following two successes, each renamed:

My Sack Is Gigantique is called Patch 9.1.5 My Storage Is Gigantique Bros. Before Ho Ho Hos is called Patch 9.1.5 Holiday Bromance

That developers rename the achievements now, results directly from the promise of the team, inappropriate, potentially sexist content from WOW (Buy Now 14.99 €) to remove. The team wrote in the official communication of 27 July 2021:

While we turn to our internal work to protect minorities for advice to our team and to take responsibility to those who threaten them, we also want to act immediately in order to remove such allusions in Azeroth, which are not appropriate for our world. This work is already in progress, and you will see various such changes in the coming days both in Shadowlands and WoW Classic.

A particularly prominent example was the removal of the NPC Field Marshal Afrasiabi from StormWind . The renaming of the successes complements the amount of appropriate adjustments. Whether the German successes will also receive new names, we do not know yet. But since the German-speaking versions of both achievements ( my bag is harmless by Dolce & Giganta as well as brotherly Christmas ), we do not go from a name change.
